OCR From pdfScanMachine

This video demonstrates how to scan a document to PDF using pdfMachine's TWAIN scan feature and enable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) so that the text in the scanned image becomes searchable.

 

Steps in Video:

  1. Open the pdfMachine TWAIN Scan application. Click on the "PDF Options" button.

  2. Check the "OCR" box to enable Optical Character Recognition.

  3. Click "OK" to save the PDF options.

  4. Click "Next" to proceed to the scan source selection.

  5. Select your scanner source from the list and click "Select".

  6. Configure scanner properties (like color, resolution, etc.) in your scanner's dialog.

  7. Click "Scan" in the scanner properties dialog to start the scan.

  8. Wait for the scanning and OCR process to complete.

  9. The scanned document is opened in pdfMachine Ultimate.
